1. Almond butter

Soak (sprout) almonds overnight.  Rinse and then dehydrate at 105 degrees (I usually do this for like 24 hours, sometimes longer)

IMG_2221

Place almonds in blender

 IMG_2222

I blend them pretty well I don’t like my butter super crunchy/chunky

 IMG_2223

AND BEST….. ENJOY!

IMG_2225

So I HATE celery!  seriously, I just have never been able to find a way I enjoy it.  NOW…I CANNOT eat enough!  I am buying massive amounts because I LOVE it now… dipped in almond butter!  I wrote this before my pregnancy made me CRAZY!  Right now all I want to eat is pizza, burgers, fries, and candy bars.  AAAAAAAA!

2.

balance

doTERRA Balance oil has been, among many, my BEST friend!

I use it for anxiety and for balance…calmness & peace.  I love applying this oil all throughout the day but I also LOVE diffusing it in the air.  I seriously feel my entire body just kinda melt.  awwwww, much needed!  I also use it in the blend for my back pain (which includes whatever I feel like using when mixing it up.   Usually something like this…Deep Blue, Wintergreen, Peppermint, Birch, Balance, Frankincense, Cypress, Ylang Ylang)

Needing some extra motivation myself ;)

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

-Marianne Williamson

As parents, it should be our goal to speak to our children as much (however, I feel possibly MORE) through our actions as we do with our words.

Amen!.?  Sometimes so much easier said than done :/

We’re having a baby! ;)

SO basically long story short….

I guess the way things work with me is I schedule surgery, I get pregnant (huh?!)

OK a little longer version….

I have endometriosis, the pain is AWFUL!  It’s constant, not just a week here and there…ALWAYS!  It has gotten worse after each pregnancy and every time I get to the point of finally deciding to deal with it and schedule surgery ALL THREE TIMES that I have scheduled that surgery within two weeks of going in for it I find out I am pregnant!  WHAT IN THE WORLD!?!?!??!!  How does that happen three times?  Am I really just not supposed to have this surgery?

It’s so hard mentally/emotionally to go from discouragement and feeling like pregnancy is going to be difficult to TADA I am pregnant.  But there you have it!  Baby number three will be here in September (unless of course I go in and they say baby three AND four..? OR maybe I will go in and already be like 20 weeks along? awww one can dream, right? :) )  Chances are this baby will be due right around or exactly when Addison was.

Who has family night at Cabela’s? (I could make some very fun remarks here, but I won’t LOL) Desperate parents who wanted to get kids home in bed the previous night on a trip to purchase a gift.  Aiden wanted to do the shooting gallery so we made a deal that we would come back for family night, so we done did it ;) After dinner at Blue Lemon, per request of yours truly.

Addi loved the fish :)

My dear Aunt Janice made this beautiful angel in memory of my grams.  It’s PERFECT! and is hanging in our home year round. I love it oh so much!

In December we went to Holdman Art Studios at Thanksgiving Point (Spencer works with the owner/artist who does all the glass in the temples)

You can go there and make your own glass flower.  It’s a really cool experience!

IMG_1633

They talk about how it all works which is super neat.  Then they demonstrate how you are going to make the flower

IMG_1639

 IMG_1642

Aiden got to choose the colors

 IMG_1650 IMG_1668

Aiden did not want to be near the glass (and ehhmm mommy was ok with that!) So daddy made the flower

  IMG_1662

You have to let it cool and then go back the next day to pick it up

I was in the basement changing over the laundry and knew that Addi had followed me down but when I went to grab her to go upstairs I did not see her anywhere, after a moment I found out why…

IMG_2274_edited-1

Guess she thought that was fun and wanted to try another place as well…

IMG_2440

The treasure hunt.  They had to find jewels and gold coins, the gold coins were to purchase large jewels from the castle “merchant”

 IMG_2456 IMG_2457

then they used the jewels to decorate their “goblets” and shields/crowns

IMG_2462

IMG_2463

IMG_2496

Used this recipe for the cake, it was very grainy though…maybe because of the sucanat? not sure, I will need to experiment and ask Tammie what hers is like.

Addi like it, and made quite a mess might I add!

Aiden got a lot of fun toys and books but most of all he wanted money since he is trying to save up for a year membership to Discovery Gateway.  It looks like he will for sure get it, but only since it is on sale this month :) He is super excited!

IMG_2192

This is his saving jar :)   He ended up being $20 away so mommy helped out.  Discovery museum here we come!

Can’t believe my little man is FIVE!  What a boy he is :) He is so loving and hilarious.  He says the funniest, most grown up comments which I need to start writing down the second he says them (I always think I will remember and then never do)

once he matches up all the correct answers, he closes the lid, turns it upside down, says some adorable magic words, all while waving his hands in the goofiest way, and then opens it to reveal the pattern his answers have made

 IMG_2621

While we did this, Addi did this…..

IMG_2605

She was removing the dressing frames from the rack and walking around with them like they were her purse.  She would do a lap around the room and then….
 IMG_2607

Chatter with herself and fluff her hair in the mirror

  IMG_2630

Then back to the task at hand, removing more frames. I know this is totally something I should have stopped but it was too fun to watch.

 IMG_2641

Then she realized I was watching :)

IMG_2645
