math papers. Addition and subtraction

Addi’s current favorite work, rice pouring. You can imagine how I watch this like a hawk, right?

Studying about Martin Luther King Jr.

reading word flashcards

color by numbers sheet

Think-it-through workbook. We have all subjects and difficulty levels, Aiden enjoys the challenge of this activity

once he matches up all the correct answers, he closes the lid, turns it upside down, says some adorable magic words, all while waving his hands in the goofiest way, and then opens it to reveal the pattern his answers have made

TADA, it matches!

Reading from his Dick and Jane book. Addi too…

Art, he began painting a train set

love that intense face!

While we did this, Addi did this…..

She was removing the dressing frames from the rack and walking around with them like they were her purse. She would do a lap around the room and then….

Chatter with herself and fluff her hair in the mirror

Then back to the task at hand, removing more frames. I know this is totally something I should have stopped but it was too fun to watch.

Then she realized I was watching

a fun maze, counting and finding 1 to 100

Love this girl!

Studying solids, liquids, and gas

outdoor play with some buddies.
Went to the park and then they so strangely found joy in getting ice off the driveway.

adding new words to his spelling notebook

spelling test

Experiments with solids liquids and gases

examining some ice cubes

ice=solid, heated=water=liquid, boiling=steam/water vapor/gas

measuring volume

added objects to show that the volume can change without adding more water

also discussed sink/float

discovering that the heavier the object the higher the volume
Showing with several cups of different sizes how liquid takes shape of whatever it is placed in

did this experiment with a balloon, putting it in the freezer to show how the gas particles move closer together when the temperature is cold. Then upon removing it Aiden liked watching the balloon re-shape as the gas particles separated due to the increase in temperature

fun with foam art
beginning anatomy lessons

love his eyes…? I kept asking why he was coloring with so much pink but he insisted it was red, ha!
Of course Addi had to join in as well…

I love that bubble of a cloth diapered bum. LOL

labeling the parts of his body

we will begin exploring more in depth as the weeks go on

fun with magnets

Addi counting, which she LOVES to do. It sounds a little something like this by herself though… “three, three, three, three” or “eight, eight eight, eight” So cute!!
