SSPX0993

Why must I love food SO much!?!?! Even if I try to keep it healthy I still have issues! I made pumpkin chocolate cookies the other day and this morning AFTER breakfast I could not resist having one..then another…AND THEN YET ANOTHER! uggh!

Don’t cry over spilt laundry detergent….

IMG_1397

I didn’t. BUT man I was ticked!

It looks like the Downy was the culprit…BUT it was the brand new Costco size jug of Tide that was shaken from the washer and practically emptied onto the floor.

Just another day in paradise ;)

If only I could remember to write down every single adorable thing my kids say and do!  I seriously LOVE my children :)

So the other day we were driving in the car listening to The Answer – book on CD.  Not that I would usually listen to this with the kiddos in tow, but Aiden was totally into it so he joined me in listening.  He was asking all sorts of questions about it and it was rather funny, though at times very repetitive.

So we get to a part that is talking all about how EVERYTHING is energy, and Aiden blurts out….

“POOP is energy?!?!!”

After containing my laughter I replied..ummm, yes (?) :)

The list continued the rest of the way home.

Trees are energy?! Rocks are energy?! etc, etc etc….

And if you have no idea what I am talking about “energy” this books is super cool and really helps you to understand the science behind the fact that everything truly IS energy.

Ya, I am adding a few extra loves to today’s list..I just could not choose.

I am totally getting the snowman one…LOVE it!

I HIGHLY recommend ordering anything you need to in November because it gets a little crazy in December.

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my baby brother who turned 20 today!!!!!  WEIRD!  (not that he will ever read my blog….hmmph ;) )

Motivation Monday is brought to you in part by a great and easy book to read…

The Secret

“Have you ever started to think about something you were not happy about, and the more you thought about it the worse it seemed?  That’s because as you think one sustained thought, the law of attraction immediately brings more LIKE thoughts to you.”

“Our job as humans is to hold on to the thoughts of what we WANT, make it absolutely clear in out minds what we want, and from that we start to invoke one of the greatest laws in the Universe, and that’s the law of attraction.  You become what you think about most, but you also attract what you think about most.”

“If you see it in your mind, you’re going to hold it in your hand”

“When you focus on something, no matter what it happens to be, you really are calling it into existence.”

“When you look at your current state of affairs and define yourself by that, then you doom yourself to have nothing more than the same in the future.”

When you focus on lack and scarcity and what you can’t have, you fuss about it and discuss it and talk about not having IT (whatever it is) THEN you will never have it, because you attract more of what your don’t have.  IF YOU WANT ABUNDANCE, IF YOU WANT PROSPERITY, THEN FOCUS ON ABUNDANCE.  FOCUS ON PROSPERITY!

“What you resist persists.”

“Many people have sacrificed themselves for others, thinking when they sacrifice themselves they are being a good person. WRONG! To sacrifice yourself can only come from thoughts of absolute lack, because it is saying “There is not enough for everyone, so I will go without.”  Those feelings do not feel good and will eventually lead to resentment.  YOUR JOB IS YOU. Unless you fill up yourself first, you have nothing to give anybody.”

“Oftentimes you give others the opportunity to create your own happiness, and many times they fail to create it the way you want it. Why? Because only one person can be in charge of your joy, of your bliss, and that’s YOU…Your joy lies within YOU.”

“Remove physiological stress from the body, and the body does what it was designed to do.  IT HEALS ITSELF.”

“Have an attitude of gratitude”

What you think about YOU BRING ABOUT!

YOUR LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS!

EXPECT GREAT THINGS!

LIVE IN ABUNDANCE!

Think abundance.

Feel abundance.

BELIEVE abundance.

Let no thought of limitation enter your mind.

Raw Milk

IMG_1294

I finally took the plunge and bought raw milk.  I have actually been toying around with the idea of going OFF milk completely.  I have been swamped with information. We have tried almond milk (gag) rice milk (ick) Never bothered with soy milk (another conversation for another day…just say no to soy) And finally feel good about raw cow’s milk.

WHY?…..

It comes from cow’s that eat REAL feed.  IMAGINE the concept!

It is not pasteurized…which destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamin content, kills beneficial bacteria, promotes pathogens and is associated with allergies, tooth decay, colic in infants, growth problems in children, osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease and cancer.  THE TRUTH gets MUCH nastier than this but to keep it short.

It is not homogenized.  Still need to research this more but I guess homogenization is a process that breaks down butterfat globules so they do not rise to the top.  I am not sure what that all means just yet though.  BUT apparently homogenized milk has been linked to heart disease.

High in butterfat.  WHAT, butterFAT..why would that be good?  Butterfat contains vitamins A and D needed for assimilation of calcium and protein.

Contains NO ADDITIVES!  I cannot tell you how obnoxious this is with almost EVERY product you pass in the grocery store packed full of so much garbage. AND The sad thing, we have NO idea!  We trust, blindly.

I was freaked out to taste the stuff, imagining goat’s milk (which I have not even tasted, only smelt and heard about) BUT the raw cow’s milk was GOOD.  Pheeeeeww!

It may come at a higher price than our Costco “DEAD” milk but I know it will be worth the change.

P.S. I get it at The Real Foods Market in Orem

PLEASE share info if you have it my dear readers! and any other wonderfully healthful tidbits for me.

Addison as always had an intense love for babies.  So for her birthday we used some money from grandma and grandpa K to buy this fancy setup…

IMG_1091

IMG_1094

It is really cute when she feeds baby, she feeds herself as well.  Baby gets a bite, Addi get a bite (or two, or three)  then back and forth.  And she makes the chewing and drinking sounds…teehee!

IMG_1097

Addi is in HEAVEN!

She loves her babies.  It is so cute to see your baby being a mommy, nurturing her doll and saying “baby”

The past few weeks we have had such a great time with friends!  Shelley and Zander came to visit from Iowa.  Shelley and I used to work at MLC together and we became great friends then, she ended up going through a separation and a divorce and in this process she moved to Iowa.  We had not seen each other for like three years, we had only talked on the phone and online so we had a joyous reunion!

We met up on September 26th for the General Relief Society Broadcast at the conference center in Salt Lake

 RS broadcast Sept 26

Inside the conference center..it was packed! And so amazing to listen to the choir!!!!!

After the session we took a long walk to the Gateway and ate ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s…DIVINE!!!!!!  Poor Shelley though trekking along in high heels!

“Coconut Bash”

IMGP4770

I got a case of coconuts from the Asian Market (nine) for the meat and liquid. I thought it would be fun to make a day of it…

We invited Shelley and her son, Zander. Jacki (my new neighbor and already a bff) and her son James, and daughter Kaylee.

IMGP4774

The boys had a blast BEATING the coconuts open, SUCH fun!

IMGP4747  IMGP4752

We had some duds that had no meat in them, but Addi liked to play with the slimy insides

IMGP4760 IMGP4765

Aiden and Addison sippin it up! Addi liked it :)

IMG_0680

IMG_0688

For about the first hour Addi was quiet and sweetly clinging onto me.  Not sure what that was all about, but I’m not complaining.  A child who will snuggle voluntarily is a rare treat.

IMG_0707

A look at the aftermath of her fall from the porch.  The top of her lip was skinned up and although you cannot see it well the inside had two holes where her teeth went through.

She eventually snapped out of it and started to enjoy the pool…

IMG_0750

IMG_0723

It is hard to see but I love her wild “hair”

It is practically translucent because it is so fine and there is just so little of it.

 IMG_0719

Seriously THE cutest personality!

She takes after a super cute big brother…

IMG_0734

The boys had fun on the slides, and it was funny to watch as they were splashed upon hitting the pool…

The best was when we got into the car and Addi noticed there was something freakishly wrong with her feet (they were all “pruned up”)

It was so funny watching her poke, prod, and examine herself.

Let us know when you are going, we would LOVE to come :)

The Planetarium

If I was wise I would just skip this part of the post completely.  When we went to the Planetarium I had two extra kids since I was watching the twins (Trey and Kaden) again.  There was not much to the planetarium, the kids were not fantastic and the day was quite exasperating.  BUT, I took pictures of course..and it looks like all was well…

in between the tears, bug eyes, and fits (children and adults alike)…..

 IMG_1043 IMG_1052 IMG_1055_edited-1

How thrilled do I look? :)

One of the coolest parts….the elevator.  Who would have thunk…

IMG_1056

It was huge.  And every time we would go anywhere I had to count kids to be sure that we had them all.  *siiiigh*   It was a tad overwhelming.

  IMG_1059

Shelley always shared her electronics to make Addi happy as can be :)

 IMG_1060

OH Jamison……how Addi loves you….

The time flew by and the day came that we had to say goodbye to Shelley and Zander :(

Until December friends!

And then we are planning to go visit them in April or May.  FUN! They live about 15 minutes from Nauvoo and her parents have a bed and breakfast.  I am excited to plan this trip! :)
