My little googy is growing! « A peek at Coles

May you be officially warned that I have done a rotten job at recording SO much that has happened in the past 3 years (it has just been such a busy roller coaster, as life often is) So this is my moment for Aiden, a tribute I suppose to this wonderful child of mine. Here are the highlights from the past 3 years including his 3rd birthday! I love you buddy

My dear sweet boy is growing SO fast I can hardly believe it. He makes me beam with joy ALMOST every moment of his life and it is so wonderful to be his mommy.

These are some pictures from his birthday at school. He is doing his walk around the sun. He gets to start as a baby and then walk around the sun with the globe and turn one, then two, then three and each time he stops to talk about what he did in that year.

This year talks about Aiden birth-one

Aiden James born January 17, 2005 – 8:49 am – 8lbs 2 oz – 20 1/2 inches long
I did not like baths
I went to work with mommy
I had acid reflux, that was not fun, but my medicine made it better!
It was really cold when I was born so my mommy always bundled me up
I loved my chair
3 months old. I grew SO fast
Even though I did not have a lot of hair it grew long enough that my mommy and to cut it
I was such a fun baby! I learned how to crawl, how to talk lots of nonsense and I got teeth.
I had my first Christmas and was dressed like Santa

You HATE driving in the car, if we are in the car you usually scream the ENTIRE time. It is quite unbearable

You love noodles “doodles”, waffles, mangoes and really just eating a lot!

You learned to ride your tricycle (July 07)

In September you were at Gma and Gpa Kekel’s and there was a fly bugging you at the table, you wacked at it with you hand and hit the counter so hard. The most unbelievable thing was that you actually got the fly!
You are learning to write in cursive
You know a lot of your phonograms and you are starting to find them all over (which means next year you will start reading!)
You help around the house with dishes, dusting, and picking up
mommy puts cologne on you everyday and you smell like a man!
You LOVE playing hide and seek. The funniest part is that you giggle and tell us where you are while you are hiding
You love trains, marbles, and magnets
You have this strange obsession with having doors closed
You are so smart it boggles my mind
You are starting to point out phonograms in the books we read, it is crazy to think you will be reading next year!
You started using the potty in January 2007 once in awhile and you were potty trained by Nov 2007

“Daddy has grass on his legs” (hair) and then Aiden also discovered he TOO has “grass” on his legs

(Sept 07) Mommy and Daddy went through the temple to be sealed and we did family pictures after. Aiden lookes up at the temple and says “look mommy a guy with a whistle” and now you know who “moronite”

A typical morning conversation:

6:50 am “MOMMY” “MOMMY” MOMMY” loud and drug out. Mommy finally comes, pushes the door open in the “special” way since it is stuck in it’s frame from the house settling. Aiden- “I all done”. Breakfis, crackers, mangoes, cheese, waffles” (every morning as if I am going to forget to feed the child Aiden lists his breakfast menu and it is THE first thing on his mind and out of his mouth when he wakes up)

Happy birthday Aiden!!

Today is my birthday! I am having a party with some friends at Build a Bear and then we will eat my snake cake that mommy made! I am so excited to be 3, I want to start violin lessons and get a big boy bed now that I am so grown up.

This year planning a party we were very on the fence. We were not sure what to do since he has 18 cousins and so many friends. We finally decided to just keep it small, which of course is hard to because then you are faced with the problem of who do you take!? So we left it in the hands of Aiden! We just asked him who he wanted to take to Build a Bear and the list began. Of course we had others in mind and wished more could have came but we just stuck with it. Aiden had a great day!

I wish I would have taken a picture of the final result, there was a cute pocket that I made for each invitation to go inside. The guests invited were:

Making wishes and shaking our hearts. Each of his friends made a birthday wish for Aiden and they all put their hearts inside Aiden’s dinosaur, so his dino has 8 hearts!
